Singer-songwriter Dar Williams (story, Page XX) recently moved to a rural section of upstate New York, but the title of her latest album, “The Green Room,” has more to do with her college years at Wesleyan University in Middleton, Conn., than her new surroundings. It’s a reference to Shakespeare’s idea that the natural, untamed part of the world is where most personal growth takes place, and it’s an idea examined in many of the songs on her strong fourth album.
* Dar Williams, Coach House, 33157 Camino Capistrano, San Juan Capistrano. With Tim Mudd, Soma and Toshi Reagon. 8 p.m. $18.50 to $20.50. (949) 496-8930.
