Re “Lawmakers Propose Higher Standards for Abortion Pill,” Oct. 5: Abortion foes Rep. Tom A. Coburn (R-Okla.) and Sen. Tim Hutchinson (R-Ark.) are introducing bills in Congress to in effect negate the ability of doctors to prescribe abortion pills for women. What is the government doing in our bedrooms? Does not George W. Bush say he wants less government?

* What is all the fuss about RU-486? St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, fathers of the church and Christian luminaries, held that the fetus had no soul until 40 days of gestation for males and 60 days for females. No soul, no human being.
