Planning Commissioners will consider a request tonight from the Westminster Christian Assembly church to operate a day-care center out of a single-family residence at 9552 Belty Circle, adjacent to the church. The center could accommodate as many as 30 children, from infants to 3-year-olds. Hours would be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays.
Commissioners will also discuss the demolition of a vacant theater to build a Circuit City store at 530 Westminster Mall Road. The plan calls for a one-story, 34,000-square-foot building with additional signs. Commissioners would have to grant a variance for the added signage.
City officials will also review Honda World’s permit for an advertising balloon at 13600 Beach Blvd.
The commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers at the Civic Center, 8200 Westminster Blvd.
