Immature Policeman

* Re “Rookie Put on Leave for Flashing Pistol, Police Say,” Oct. 2: The off-duty Orange cop who displayed a handgun during an argument is not mature enough to be a police officer. That does not mean he is a bad person. It just means he has shown he should not be allowed to carry a gun. I hope he is forced into another line of work before that immaturity causes real harm.
