A 21-year-old Oxnard man was shot in the arm early Sunday during a party, authorities said.
Cesar Tovar was standing outside a home in the 2300 block of Jackson Street about 1 a.m. when someone either drove or walked by and fired several rounds at the house. Cars were seen leaving the area at the time of the shooting, police said.
Tovar was treated at St. John’s Regional Medical Center and released.
“I’m not certain if someone at the party got mad at him or someone drove by,” Oxnard Police Cmdr. Joe Munoz said.
Witnesses were not cooperating so officers have not been able to establish a motive, authorities said. No arrests were made as of late Sunday.
