Kilpatrick 36, Hesperia 26--Jeremey Hartsfield rushed for 279 yards and touchdowns of 62, 60, seven and 17 yards in 23 carries, and added a 49-yard scoring reception for the Mustangs (2-3) in a nonleague victory at Hesperia.
Hartsfield, who attended Dorsey High last year, returned two kickoffs for a combined 53 yards, giving him 381 all-purpose yards.
Ryan Jones added 74 yards in 11 carries, and Matthew Carter, a transfer from Grant High, rushed for 40 yards in five carries and made three sacks.
EIGHT-MAN
Faith Baptist 26, L.A. Lutheran 16--Jeff Weil completed 15 of 22 passes for 232 yards and three touchdowns to Johnny Case for the Contenders in a Heritage League victory at Faith Baptist.
