* Re “ ‘The Dirty Little Secret of the Dot-Com World,’ ” Oct. 1: I guess drugs are not as indiscriminate in their effects as we have been led to believe. It seems like they target everyone, i.e., doctors, police, lawyers, the common folks--everyone except the rich “dot-commers.” If not, then why don’t all tech firms have across-the-board testing with zero tolerance?
But wait, I’m being too critical of the technological elite. They just seem to write their drug-testing policy according to the “Golden Rule.” Whoever has the gold makes the rules.
