Bishop Diego 21, Santa Clara 6--George Rivas scored on touchdown runs of eight and seven yards in the third quarter for Bishop Diego (2-3) at Camarillo High.
Santa Clara (0-5) was held to 142 total yards, avoiding a shutout with seven minutes to play on a 15-yard touchdown pass from Jimmie Griffin to Victor Lopez.
Griffin completed eight of 17 passes for 70 yards and a touchdown. He threw two interceptions.
Mario Mendoza of Santa Clara rushed for 58 yards in 14 carries. Donald Pinedo had six receptions for 45 yards.
