Young cancer patients from the Children’s Hospital of Orange County will paint a 6-foot-wide “Thank You” card on Tuesday to everybody who will participate in this year’s 5K CHOC Walk fund-raiser. The CHOC Walk will be held on Oct. 15.
Led by professional artist James Hayes, the children will decorate the card at 10 a.m. at Mimi’s Cafe, 17231 East 17th St., in Tustin. Following the card-signing, the patients and their families will gather for a luncheon inside Mimi’s to share stories of their battles against cancer and about CHOC’s influence in their lives.
