NORTH HOLLYWOOD — A man convicted of sexually assaulting women and forcing them to withdraw money from automatic teller machines was sentenced Thursday to 35 years in prison.
Paul Brown of North Hollywood had pleaded no contest to robbery and forcible sexual assault for the attacks on five women, most of them from North Hollywood and one from Hollywood, during February and March 1998, said Deputy Dist. Atty. Alan Yochelson.
The 23-year-old man was sentenced by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Michael Hoff.
A co-defendant, 24-year-old Tyshika Roberts of Los Angeles, has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to charges of robbery, kidnapping, rape and sexual assault.
