City officials updated an agreement between the Solome Gomez Estate and the city so that residents can continue to use the property at 701 W. 5th St. as a neighborhood park, known to citizens as Corona Park.
The original agreement, which was lost, dates back to the late 1960s when the city asked to use the lot as a park. The agreement called for the owner to dedicate the property as a public park and give the city permission to make improvements. The City Council approved updating the agreement on a 5-0 vote.
