Reconstruction of the roadway on State College Boulevard between Lambert Road and Brea Boulevard began Monday and will continue until November, according to city officials.

Motorists should allow extra time driving in the area because there will be periodic closures on intersecting streets. Officials expect the resulting roadway to last for 25 years. It has been 15 years since major work was completed on this section on the road.
