The 78th annual Los Angeles County Fair, “A Journey to Our Destiny,” will run through today at the Fairplex, two blocks north of the San Bernardino Freeway in Pomona. Horse races are held, with the first post time at noon.
Highlights
* Today: bluegrass band competition, Heritage Farm, noon and throughout the day; spinning contest; Ring 3, 4 p.m.; fireworks, 10 p.m.
Fair Hours: 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
Admission: Adult (13 and older), $10.
* Ages 6-12, $5.
* Children 5 and younger free.
