Disney Expansion: Work Force Issues

Re “With Anaheim Expansion, Disney Wants You Captive” (Sept. 20):
I’m ecstatic for all that potential that Disneyland’s new California Adventure will have for making all that money (not). I have a few questions, though, about issues the article didn’t address. Where is Disney going to get all the people to take care of all of those visitors? Who will those people be? Who will clean all those suites, park all those cars and haul all that baggage around in those new hotels? Where will all the busboys, waiters, dishwashers and cooks come from for those upscale eateries the visitors will find in the new expansion?
Will some of those workers, or more likely a good portion of them, be undocumented immigrants? Whether they’re undocumented immigrants or not, will they be paid and treated fairly? Will they be able to live in affordable housing close to work so they can frugally travel a reasonable distance and not overburden what I’m sure will be a modest personal income?
