Supervisors’ Approval of Development

Re “Supervisors OK Plans for 2,545-Unit Development.
I cannot believe the L.A. County Supervisors giving the go-ahead for the development [near McBean Parkway].
The impact this is going to have on just everyday living is going to be tremendous. Over 5,000 more cars will be on our roads. We are in an energy crisis because no one wants to build any kind of power plants, and everyone seems to think our water supply is endless. A judge had ruled a halt while the water impact was studied, but the supervisors, in their egoistic wisdom, have deemed it all right to proceed. At the same time, there are another 1,109 more homes being built less than five miles from the Valencia Co. project.
Where are the environmentalists when we need them? Still chasing the fairy shrimp?
