The San Juan Task Force and San Juan Rotary Club collected more than 1,700 books during a recent book drive to benefit children who cannot afford books.
Most of the books were donated to San Juan Accelerated School and Marco Forster Middle School. The adult books were donated to the Friends of the Library in San Juan Capistrano.
Crown Books, Natale Coffee and Starbucks in Dana Point collectively donated more than 400 books to win a friendly competition among local businesses.
