GRANITE FALLS, Wash. — Talk about feeling flush: Granite Falls is celebrating the opening of its first public restroom in a big way: a two-day Toilet Festival, part of the fourth annual Art in the Parks Festival, July 15-16.
Instead of a ribbon-cutting, there will be a ceremonial tearing of toilet paper. There will also be an art display, including photographs of outhouses from around the country in the town 35 miles from Seattle.
