The city’s free summer concert series begins on Sunday with Spring Fling 2000 from noon to 4:30 p.m. at the Village Green Park, 12862 Euclid St. Performing are Johnny Appleseed and Sister Sally, the Stroud Puppets, and Slouch in the Couch Children’s Corner Band. The event will also feature storytelling for children, an obstacle course, giant slide, carnival games, a Velcro wall, clowns and the Police Department’s canine unit and new volunteer horseback mounted patrol.
