The city’s budget for the upcoming fiscal year includes donations of more than $200,000 to community agencies, up $70,000 from last year.
The City Council unanimously adopted the $40-million budget Tuesday. Expenditures are up from last year’s $38-million budget.
Groups to receive more than $5,000 from the city are the AIDS Services HIV Committee, the Art Institute of Southern California, the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach, Laguna Art Museum, Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce, Laguna Beach Community Clinic, Laguna Beach Seniors Inc., the Laguna Playhouse, the Laguna Resource Center, No Square Theater and Sally’s Fund.
