The South Coast Water District board will consider its proposed $15-million budget for the 2000-01 fiscal year at tonight’s meeting.
The proposed budget would allocate about $11.4 million for water purchases, sewage treatment, distribution systems and administration costs. About $3.6 million would be used for capital improvement projects.
If the seven-member board does not approve the budget tonight, a special board meeting will be held June 28.
The district includes south Laguna Beach, Dana Point and the northern tip of San Clemente.
The meeting begins at 4 p.m. at 31592 West St., Laguna Beach. Information: (949) 499-4555.
