The 20th annual Baroque Music Festival Corona del Mar continues with a chamber music program devoted to solos and trio sonatas by J.S. Bach. Performing on modern instruments, the players include David Shostac, flute; Gabriel Arregui, harpsichord; Clayton Haslop, violin; and Timothy Landauer, cello. The festival is marking the 250th anniversary of Bach’s death, and its 20th anniversary.

Jamaican singer Ras Michael enters his fifth decade paying tribute to and promoting the ideals of the late Ethiopian leader Haile Selassie. Michael, accomplished in the Nyabinghi (“heartbeat”) style of drumming, brings his group, the Sons of Negus--Negus was one of the names used by Selassie--to the Coach House on Friday.
