A fifth-grader from Rossmoor Elementary School was named the grand prize winner on Monday of the third annual Hewlett-Packard Digital Book Club’s Young Writer Contest. Rachel Gross of Los Alamitos and her teacher, Daniele Petrick, will each receive an HP computer, printer, a digital camera or scanner, and other educational products. Gross’ story was one of 37,000 entries received from across the U.S.
