The Tustin Unified School District will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for Ladera Elementary School at 10 a.m. Thursday. Ladera is the third elementary school to be built in Tustin Ranch and will be modeled after the state-of-the art Peters Canyon and Tustin Ranch elementary schools. The school, which will serve kindergartners through fifth-graders, will be on Rawlings Way west of Tustin Ranch Road and is scheduled to open in fall 2001. Information: (714) 730-7339.
