A major municipal golf course renovation will be the top issue for discussion at the City Council’s budget workshop tonight.
The city’s golf division and Golf Course Committee have submitted a request for $500,000 in next year’s budget for engineering studies of a new clubhouse at the San Clemente Municipal Golf Course.
The funds for the design study would come from the Golf Course Improvement Capital Reserve Fund, which receives a percentage of green fees revenue.
The golf division estimates clubhouse construction and course improvements at $4.8 million.
The budget workshop will be held at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 100 Avenida Presidio.
