WILMINGTON — The president of Antelope Valley College in northern Los Angeles County was appointed Monday to head Los Angeles Harbor College.
Linda M. Spink was appointed by the Board of Trustees of the Los Angeles Community College District to take the helm of the 8,000-student community college in South Los Angeles. She begins in July and replaces interim President Frank Qiuambao, who has held the post since August.
Spink has a proven track record in fund-raising, developing academic programs and attracting students--all areas critical to the future success of Harbor College, said Board of Trustees President Kelly Candaele.
