LAKE FOREST

The largest remodeling project in El Toro High School’s recent history will begin this summer with construction of a new teachers’ parking lot. It is part of a three-year, multimillion-dollar renovation that also targets the Lake Forest school’s gymnasiums, theater and science labs.
The 86-space lot at the parking-starved school is expected to ease pressure slightly on students now forced to prowl for empty spaces on nearby residential streets.
The school also will get a new gymnasium for athletic-team practices, enlarged drama and music rooms and a two-story, 16-room science wing with new laboratories.
