Camryn Grimes, who is best known for her role as Cassie Johnson on the daytime series “The Young and the Restless,” was selected last week as a celebrity guest at the 96th annual Huntington Beach Fourth of July Parade.
Grimes, who is 10, earned her first Daytime Emmy this year for her portrayal of a child torn between two families on the popular daytime drama. She is a native of the San Fernando Valley.
The seven-member Fourth of July Executive Board selected Grimes as a youth role model.
Grimes will join four other celebrities in the parade: Alan Thicke, best known for his role as a psychiatrist and father on the television series “Growing Pains;” Dennis Haskins, best known for his role as Principal Belding on “Saved by the Bell”; Brad Maule, who plays Dr. Anthony Jones on “General Hospital”; and McKenzie Westmore, who stars as Sheridan Crane on “Passions.”
