Father Arrested in Slaying of Daughter’s Boyfriend

PANORAMA CITY — A man was shot to death as he tried to break up a fight between his girlfriend and her father Thursday night, police said.
Authorities said the woman’s 55-year-old father was arrested on suspicion of murder. LAPD spokesman Ed Funes said he could not immediately provide identities of the suspect and victim, believed to be in his 20s.
Funes said the shooting occurred about 5:45 p.m. at an apartment in the 9800 block of Vesper Avenue.
