Being a Father
Whenever Father’s Day comes around I feel like I need to honor myself. I am the mother to four children and also what I consider the father. My children’s dad had a disease known as alcoholism and was never able to be a real father to his kids. I was there to attend to anything they needed both physically and mentally. I was at every soccer game, wrestling match, school event, dental appointment, doctor visit and all the holidays.
I say kudos to all the other women who have had to raise children on their own. My children are all grown and are all doing well.
