* If I hear one more Republican compare the return on investment of Social Security benefits with the current irrationally exuberant stock market, I’m gonna spit. Social Security is social insurance, not an investment scheme. Comparing the two is a classic apples and oranges argument.
You might as well tell people if they stopped paying insurance premiums on their Mazda, they could drive a Porsche.
