Shelter for the Homeless Program Director Julia Martinez was named 1999 Employee of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce at its annual new officer and awards meeting last week. Martinez’s responsibilities include overseeing more than 20 programs throughout Orange and Los Angeles counties. She is also a member of the Women’s Referral Service, the Orange County FEMA Board and the Santa Ana Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
