Camp Pendleton’s seventh annual 10K Mud Run on Saturday will give participants a chance to experience a day in the life of a Marine.
Military and civilian runners will attempt to negotiate a course across rugged terrain that includes slippery training obstacles and waist-deep water, a 6-foot-high wall and an area where runners must crawl under wires to reach the finish line.
The event also features entertainment, music provided by a deejay and food.
Event organizers expect runners from 20 states and three countries.
The event will begin at 9 a.m. at Lake O’Neill on the Marine Corps base. Information and directions: (760) 725-6490.
