The Planning Commission on Tuesday voted 5 to 2 to table a decision on issuing a permit for an Irvine developer to redevelop Huntington Beach Mall.
Ezralow Retail Properties LLC plans to build an Italian Village-style center with upscale restaurants, retail stores and an 18-screen movie theater. The new mall will be called the Crossings at Huntington.
Commissioner Tom Livengood said a majority of the commissioners felt that more time is needed to evaluate the project and process information from the mall’s remaining tenants.
A special meeting will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m., in City Hall, 2000 Main St.
