County Budget Controversy

I don’t feel that Sheriff Bob Brooks should have to bear the $6.5-million cut from his budget due to what happened with the botched up mental health merger and this whole scandal the Board of Supervisors caused us.
I ask interim Chief Administrative Officer Harry Hufford not to touch the sheriff’s budget. We voters signed a petition for Proposition 172 to go for law enforcement, and that is its intended purpose.
