* Starbucks Corp. plans to add lunch items at up to 400 of its stores by the end of fiscal 2001, and said it has raised prices in three markets--California, Britain and Canada. Chief Financial Officer Michael Casey, speaking at the U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray conference in Minneapolis, also said he backed analysts’ earnings forecasts of 71 cents a share for the full year ending in September.
* Lowe’s Cos. said it has started selling household appliances on the Internet inside one store in North Carolina and will expand the program to all its stores by the middle of next year.
