California Amplifier Names New Board Member

California Amplifier Inc. in Camarillo has appointed Frank Perna Jr. to the company’s board of directors.
He replaces William McKenna, who will retire from the board when his term expires July 14.
Perna, 62, is chairman and chief executive of MSC Software and serves as chairman of the board and a director of Software.com and Intellisys. He also serves on the board of trustees of Kettering University.
He was previously chief executive of MagneTek Inc.
“Frank brings extensive business acumen and experience to California Amplifier,” said Ira Coron, the company’s board chairman. “He is a proven leader in growing companies in diverse industries.”
California Amplifier manufactures microwave amplifiers, down converters, antennas and other products used in conjunction with satellite video and ground-based broadband applications.
