Homestore.com Inc. in Thousand Oaks, which operates a network of real estate Web sites, has entered into a two-year multimillion-dollar technology and joint marketing alliance with Dorado.com, a finance software company whose clients include some of the nation’s top mortgage companies.
Under the terms of the agreement, San Francisco-based Dorado.com will pay Homestore.com to market and advertise its clients’ services on the Homestore.com network, which the company says attracts a monthly audience of more than 3.7 million users. In addition, Homestore.com will acquire equity in Dorado.com and incorporate Dorado.com’s MortgageTone technology into its i-LEND product.
Since its launch last year, nearly 400 mortgage lenders and brokers have joined i-LEND, which allows consumers to identify and contact lenders in their communities.
