Fund-Raising Unit for Arts Plaza Formed

In an effort to raise $100,000 annually for the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, a group called the Angels of the Alliance has been formed.

The group, whose formation was announced last week, is the first official fund-raising affiliate of the Alliance for the Arts, the main nonprofit fund-raising arm of the Civic Arts Plaza.

The group, which includes about 50 charter members, hopes to raise the money by hosting several activities throughout the year, including a tea at which officers for the new affiliate will be installed.
