San Pedro Man Held in Drive-By Attack on 2 Men

SAN PEDRO — A 22-year-old Harbor-area man was arrested and booked on suspicion of murder and attempted murder Friday in connection with a drive-by shooting here.
Officers said James Ruben Rodriguez was being held without bail in the May 27 attack at 25th Street and Patton Avenue that left Travon) Green, 19, dead and Jabari Meader, 18, in critical condition. Meader has since recovered.
Rodriguez was taken into custody at noon Friday in an alley behind a San Pedro hotel. Officers declined comment on how he was connected to the attack.
