Driver Who Crashed Car Listed as Critical

A Thousand Oaks man was listed in critical condition Thursday after losing control of his car and crashing into a house on Magellan Street in Thousand Oaks.
Authorities said Steven Davis, 34, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol as he drove his Ford Bronco II north on Fallen Oaks Drive just before 8 p.m. Wednesday. After Davis lost control of the car, it crashed into the side of a home, smashing a hole in a wall outside the family room, authorities said.
No one was in the room at the time of the accident, and residents of the home were uninjured, authorities said.
Davis was taken by ambulance to Los Robles Regional Medical Center where he was treated for broken ribs, a broken clavicle and a head injury.
