A fund-raising walkathon will be held Friday June 9 at Morris Elementary School to honor slain Long Beach Police Officer Daryle Black and his partner Rick Delfin.
Kids Who Care, a student group at the school, has organized a Partners for Peace walk that will benefit the families of the two officers through the DARE program and the Cypress Police Department’s memorial fund. The walk will begin at 3 p.m. and will be followed by a raffle of prizes donated by local businesses and community members.
