A resident has appealed the Planning Commission’s recent approval of a Wienerschnitzel at Imperial Highway and Rose Drive, which was forwarded to the City Council for a vote.
The move, made by a resident living miles from the proposed site, comes just weeks after the council--on appeal--turned down plans for a Wienerschnitzel on Chapman Avenue. The Planning Commission had approved drive-throughs at both locations.
Tony Khan, who lives on Chapman Avenue, appealed the restaurant’s Imperial Highway plans based on the expected traffic, noise and odor. Residents in his neighborhood had successfully blocked a Wienerschnitzel from being approved on Chapman Avenue, based on the same concerns.
Khan could not be reached for comment..
