The publicly traded Santa Ana company did not disclose financial terms of its purchase of Academy of Business Inc., which operates under the name Academy of Business College.
The academy is a regionally accredited school that offers degrees in accounting, criminal justice administration, legal assistance, office management and information technology.
Corinthian Colleges owns 44 colleges in 18 states, including 10 in California. It soon will open its 45th college, a previously announced branch campus in Jacksonville, Fla.
