Chris Oeding, captain of the U.S. national water polo team, has been named men’s and women’s water polo/swim coach at Long Beach College. Oeding, the Southern Section player of the year at Corona del Mar in 1988, has coached the last five years at OCC. . . . Rick Azevedo has been named women’s water polo coach at Long Beach State. Azevedo, who also coaches the men’s team, was interim coach for the women’s team last season and led the 49ers to a school-record 18 victories.
