Pacer reserves Austin Croshere and Travis Best combined to score 20 consecutive points in the fourth quarter, ending the Lakers’ 16-game winning streak. The Pacers trailed, 77-75, at the end of three quarters and Croshere and Best put them over the top in the fourth. Croshere scored 10 points in the period to go with his career-high 12 rebounds. Best added 10 of his 12 during the quarter. Indiana’s bench outscored the Laker reserves, 37-20, and the Pacers also outrebounded them, 48-42. Reggie Miller scored 22 points and Jalen Rose added 19 for Indiana. Shaquille O’Neal had 22 points and 14 rebounds and Glen Rice scored 23 points.
