Schools in the Los Alamitos Unified School District are accepting transfers from students in all grade levels from other districts.
There are still many openings for kindergarten students, but spots are limited for elementary, middle and high school grades.
Parents should first contact their school district and request an inter-district transfer. That form can then be brought to the Los Alamitos district office, 10293 Bloomfield St., weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Transfer students are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
