Freidune Leona V. Yocham, a former nurse’s aide, died Saturday at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura after a lengthy illness. She was 75.
She was born on Jan. 9, 1925, in Mesa, Okla., and has lived in Ventura County for the past 50 years, 46 of those in Ojai.
Yocham was a nurse’s aide at Ventura County Medical Center and a longtime member of the Women’s Auxiliary of American Legion Post #482.
Carol Ann Johnson of Ventura said her mother loved working on crafts, making flowers and all kinds of artwork.
Yocham was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Carl, in 1995 and son, Ben Rochester.
In addition to her daughter, she is survived by a brother, Ben A. Walters; sisters Wilma Lutrick of Arkansas and Imogene McKhean of Modesto; four granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Clausen Funeral Home in Ojai. Services are scheduled at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation.
Arrangements are under the direction of Clausen Funeral Home in Ojai.
