Domino’s Reaches Accord on Delivery Policy
- Share via
Domino’s Pizza Inc. agreed to make sure its franchises do not unfairly avoid delivering pizzas to black neighborhoods under the guise of shunning unsafe areas. In a voluntary agreement with the Justice Department, Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Domino’s pledged to consult with law-enforcement officials to monitor crime-trend statistics that franchises may use when developing their delivery policies. A neighborhood’s crime statistics, rather than racial demographics, would determine whether a neighborhood is considered safe enough for pizza deliveries under the agreement.
