TONIGHT
KEVIN BROWN (4-1, 2.48 ERA) vs. RYAN GLYNN (first game of season)
* Update--The Rangers suffered a crushing loss Friday night when outfielder Ruben Mateo was lost for the season with a broken leg. Mateo was batting .291 with seven homers and 19 runs batted in. The Rangers also were in a bind as to their starting pitcher against the Dodgers because Darren Oliver, who had been scheduled, will miss a turn with a tired arm. Glynn will be recalled from Oklahoma City, where he was 3-1 with a 3.17 ERA in 10 games, to make his major league debut.
* Tuesday--Eric Gagne (0-3, 4.35) vs. Mark Clark (3-3, 8.13).
