VILLA PARK

Villa Park High School students Daniel Keene and Sarah Bauer were awarded $1,000 scholarships from the Kathleen Keany Memorial Foundation. The organization was founded in 1998 after the death of Kathleen Keany, a 1986 Villa Park High School graduate. Keany died of adenoid cystic carcinoma, a form of cancer that typically develops in the head or neck.
